One thing I hear from a lot of my clients is that it can be challenging to make healthier choices on the weekend. And hey I get it, after a long week, the last thing I want to do is slave over the stove. Now, I will say there are absolutely healthier options you can choose when going out to eat, so I would never recommend cancelling plans with friends/family to stay in and cook. I will also say that you don’t always have to make the healthier choice, it’s good to practice having everything in moderation! However, if you’re looking for some easy ways to make healthier choices on the weekends, or crazy week days, I’ll let you in on one of my fav secrets:⠀

Always always always have some frozen options on hand that you can use to whip into a meal! I love the frozen options bc you don’t really have to worry about them going bad! Some of my favs include: frozen chicken breast tenderloins, frozen shrimp, TJs frozen turkey burgers, any and every type of frozen veggies (these just make life so much easier), TJs frozen fully cooked quinoa, frozen rice, and this isn’t a frozen one but TJs fully cooked “just chicken” has been my life lately. ⠀

This meal literally took me maybe 10 mins to cook today and it was so yummy! I just used Trader Joe’s frozen fully cooked quinoa, frozen foursome veggies, and the precooked “just chicken”. Toss it all in some soyaki sauce and you’re ready to go!
