Meat (including red meat) is a great source of protein, iron and micronutrients like B12, zinc, and selenium. One thing to note with red meat, is most cuts tend to be very high in fat. Some of the leanest cuts of red meat include the top round, loin, and flank steak. Try this flank steak marinade and pair with roasted potatoes for your next meal prep!

You will need:

– 1.5 lbs flank steak, cut into 4 steaks 

– ⅓ cup coconut aminos

– ¼ cup honey

– ⅓ olive oil

– 2 Tbsp minced garlic

– ½ tsp black pepper

– 2 Tbsp rice vinegar


1. Add all ingredients to a medium bowl and let marinade for 2-3 hours 

2. Grill for 5-7 minutes on each side 

3. Let steak rest for 10 minutes
