There are a lot of things going on right now that are out of our control, so let’s focus our time and energy on the things that we can control! Try to find a few parts of your day to turn into a routine and anchor into those. It could be that daily workout, morning meditation, or it could be making yourself a nice, yummy nutritious breakfast each morning! Here’s a great 10 minute recipe to try out in the morning.

Stovetop oatmeal:

You will need:

– ½ cup oatmeal

– 1 cup milk

– ¼ tsp vanilla

– ¼ tsp cinnamon

– ½ large banana, sliced

1. Place oatmeal, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and half the banana in a pot on medium heat and cook, stirring frequently, until creamy – about 7-8 minutes.

2. Add your toppings! Here we used sliced bananas, strawberries and peanut butter

Exchanges without toppings: 2 starch, 1 dairy, 1 fruit
